FO's and other stuff, but no pics (since I'm still lacking a digital camera....)

I finished my first full pair of Knitty's "Fetching," for Linda. I told her I'd be done today, and I am. It still bugs my that the one has a bad looking spot... but she doesn't mind. Maybe I'll use it for my car knitting and eventually make her a new left one, since I've done it so many times I have the pattern memorized. Anyway... in other, much more important, news, I got my yarn in today for my "Snowdrop" shawl... oh my god. It's sooooooo soft. It's 100% Baby Alpaca. If you've never felt that... you have to. You just... have to. It's sooooo soft. My only complaint is that it's so fine that it knots easily and it's nearly impossible to unknot it. I know unknot isn't a word but I'm freaking tired.
Linda had me babysit the boys today. I love them so much. Ashton is three months and Aizik is 16 months old. See, her babysitter quit. So I told Linda that I'd watch the boys for a hundred dolllars a week. So I probably will be doing that. I'm excited about it. It's a lot of work but it's good for three things. 1. It helps me get over my baby fever. (Not really. I mean, it sorta does but then sometimes it's worse... who knows.) 2. It's a job and (yarn) money. 3. It's good practice for when I have kids.
Hmm... what else... oh someone finally signed up to do a show. So she's PROBABLY having it on March 25th. I'm excited about that.

New Stuff

Ok, so Branching out is blocked and ready to be lined. I'll post pictures of it when I can. What else is new... well... Angie and I are going to do a knit-along of Stephanie Pearl-McPhee's "Snowdrop Shawl." I ordered my yarn from "Theknitter.com," if you go there it's the color "periwinkle blue." I emailed her to see how long it would take and she said "We're a little behind on orders, but I'll be sure to ship yours out tomorrow." I was like "Awww... she's so nice..." So I can't wait to get my yarn so we can make that. What else is new. Well, I'm making this purse
But instead of those colors, it's lime green, turquoise, and orange. I'm only doing the flowers on one side. I'm pretty excited about it. What else is new... hmm... Not a whole lot. Adeana FINALLY came over yesterday. We had fun. Watched a movie a stuff. That's about it.

Branching out has... well... branched out

Just a little update. Branching out is not going to be a scarf. It's a purse, for Misti, for her birthday. I hope she likes it. It's going to be very cute. It's blocking right now (should be about dry) and I'm going to go line it when it's done. I have white fabric to line it with, and I bought a button. I'm trying to figure out how best to attach the button... maybe I'll add a little loop with the yarn in front of the flap? Any ideas?

Branching out, and how much life sucks

Well, let's start out with the good news. I've started Branching Out from Knitty, and I like it so far. I'm making it with my sws natural pink that Linda gave me. It's going well.
The bad news? Well I HATE life. I hate not having any money, I hate not having a job, I hate most of all not having any friends. I mean, sure, I love Angie and she's my best friend, and then there's Aaron. But I don't have any friends near me that I can count on. They all let me down. I don't even KNOW how to make new friends. It's so pointless and unfair and just... mean. I can't take it. Adeana is such a liar. She told me like, a week ago, that she was going to come over here today. Then she tells me TODAY that she made new plans. SO I told her I'd come and meet her and she could come over here after she was done hanging out with her other friends. She was supposed to call me. But she didn't. OF COURSE. And all I really wanted was to talk about STUPID partylite with her. I mean, I just wanted her to book a show. Is that so much to ask??? *sigh* Anyway, that's it for now.
