What?? A FINISHED OBJECT?

That's right people. I've finally actually finished something. It's like a freaking miracle. I just cast off my "Dream swatch" headband from The Garter Belt and I love it. It's so beautiful. Let's see... I used... not very much (a LOT less than half a skein... probably only a fourth of a skein or so...) of Socks that Rock Lucy, and I changed the pattern (being a knitter... we tend to do that). I took out one repeat of the pattern per row, so it wouldn't be so wide, and I only made it 34 inches instead of 48 inches long, because I didn't want it to hang all the way down my back. That's 34 inches unblocked. Blocked... well I'm blogging and then posting, so hopefully I'll remember to add how long it is... here are pictures. Soaking...

By the way... it's 36 inches after washing and blocking. Exactly what I hoped for! yay!

MS3 Update

Just a quick update about my Mystery Stole. I just finished clue three, getting ready to start clue four. I love it! Here's a quick picture... on my OSU blanket... which is weird because A) You can't see the stole very well (but better than my light cream carpet...) and because... I got into Ohio University!!! I'm so excited! I'm going to be a bobcat... oh, sorry, school mascot. Anyway, here's the MS3! Isn't it b-e-a-utiful? I love it!

Emmy's new nephew and updates

So, yesterday Emmy and I spent the evening at the hospital. Her sister, Jennifer, had her baby! She had a boy, his name is Joshua Mitchell, and get this; he weighed 11 pounds, 4 ounces, and he's 23 inches long! That's freaking huge! He's not fat though, just... really really big. Here are a few pictures. The first one is obviously Jennifer and Joshua.
