Update

Wow! It's been so long since I posted that when I got here I was like "This isn't my blog..." because I didn't remember the last post and I forgot that I changed the layout lol! So, new stuff... well, we'll start with the knitting news. I started making a teddy bear from a book called... um... well... I'll have to tell you later cause I can't get up and get it (too tired). I'm making it out of some brand of plymouth yarn in a weird brown color (Plymouth Encore, click the link then color card and it's at the bottom, number 6003. Anyway, I started it Tuesday afternoon... and I'm finished with most of his body Tuesday and a leg yesterday. Except the sewing, and stuffing of course. Um... still working on Dublin bay #2 and I ordered some more str in the colorway Little bunny foo foo. What else... I think that's it.
Let's see... I told you I got a job. I like it. It's not too hard... the worst is when you open, cause the air isn't on till 8 and you have to be there at 7:30 and it's HOT. Then after work (as long as I don't close) I go work out. That's the only time I go because it's easier to motivate myself then.
What else is new... my best friend Emmy is HOPEFULLY breaking up with her dumb, jerk ass boyfriend. (We hatessss him preciousssss.....) He's evil and I'm so sick of him being mean to her.
I know what else is new. I haven't gotten any sleep lately because I'm having such vivid dream that it keeps me from resting. Dave says I'm talking, kicking my feet, grinding my teeth, and tossing and turning all night. Last night we didn't go to sleep till around 1 (wide awake) and then I had to get up at 6:30. So I'm like seriously freaking tired lol. I think that's all for now. Lata!

How many of me?

How many have your name?

Seriously short post

Wow, I was just messing with my blog and realized I haven't posted in almost a month, so I thought I'd post something. Not much is new... oh, yeah, that's a HUGE lie. Everything is new. For starters, I got a new job. I'm working part time at Kohl's, at the Jewelery counter. It's fun. It's easy work... but my feet kill me after a few hours. I'm just not used to standing up all day long. It's painful. My heels and the balls of my feet hurt worse. Surprisingly, not my ankle though. And yesterday I turned wrong and hurt my hip. And I have a cold. That's all the complaining, I promise. :)

Anyway, I finished Dublin Bay sock number one. I have serious second sock syndrome though. I tried to deny it. I even cast on the second sock. It might not be as bad as I feared until I get past the heel though. I mean, I haven't worked on anything but stockinette stitch forever so it's almost FUN to do knit one purl one. I just have to keep telling myself that.

The only other wip I have right now is the Party Scarf from Magknits. I'm doing it in baby alpaca with silver beads on the end. It's Pretty... but the baby alpaca is so hard to work with. I usually don't have the patience for it.

I'm also working on a Care Bear (Share bear actually) cross stitch for Emmy. She asked me to help her with it, but I'm afraid she either won't be able to do it (not that I think she's not smart enough, but she probably doesn't have the patience for it) or she just won't want to and I wanted to finish it, to surprise her. *frown* I wonder if she reads this blog... hmm... anyway. That's all I've got going on at this time, but I'm hoping to start this tank top I saw in my Creative Knitting magazine soon. It's cotton, and it's very cute. Anyway, that's all for now!

Random Tuesday

Yep, I'm stealing so many other bloggers idea. I really don't have anything specific to blog about, so I thought I'd just lay it all on you. Let's see...

1) I finished my first ever sock. It's really cool... I mean, it looks just like a real sock, not silly like some knitted socks I've seen. I really love it... except it's too small. I thought it would grow in the wash, and it did, but not quit enough. It's just too tight over my ankle. I think it's the lace pattern, made the stitches a little tight. Pictures coming soon (In about 15 pictures... that's how many are on the camera.) Anyway, It looks soooo awesome, but I'm not gonna make another. I mean, I'm going to make another sock, I'm addicted now. But not another broadripple. I really like the way the pattern goes, but it's too much thought for a sock. I couldn't even take it to the movies cause I had to think about the pattern too much and the dark would've messed me up. I have enough of that yarn to do different socks, and I'm trying to find a good pattern... the problem is that the yarn isn't stretchy enough. So I'm working on it.

2) In the meantime, I've started the Dublin Bay socks, with my "Socks that rock" in the Lucy color. (That's a pdf file, in case you have dial-up or something...) I've done the ribbing and two repeats of the pattern, but I had to change it, because the gauge was 9.5 stitches per inch, and I was getting 8... and instead of going up a needle size, I just added 6 stitches to the pattern and adjusted it.

3) Still working on the stole. Let's not speak of it.

4) Same rule applies to the purse. If it's not a sock I'm not interested.

Actually, I was thinking about the purse... I should've done it in the round, I probably would've finished it by now if I had. Hmm... redo? Maybe. We'll see.

Anyway, that's all the fiber news, except I bought some black sock yarn for when Angie sends me my Kroy that she bought me. I'm really excited about it :)

What's new with life... well the Braves are in first place, and I'm talking to Emmy again. That's about it :)
